IMAX theater coming to Hutto as part of EVO Entertainment

As anticipation builds for EVO Entertainment’s new Hutto location, we are pleased to announce the Hutto facility will include both an IMAX theater and a state-of-the-art EVX theater. EVO Entertainment also released new renderings for their Hutto location. Updated timelines indicate official groundbreaking by late October and a Spring 2024 grand opening.  

The IMAX theater located inside Hutto’s EVO Entertainment will be the very first IMAX in Williamson County, and just the fourth in all of Central Texas! IMAX theaters combine large-format movie screens and stadium-style seating with heart-pounding audio and awe-inspiring images to create unforgettable immersive experiences. Hutto’s IMAX theater will be one of just 1,700 in the world. 

Similarly, EVO Entertainment’s EVX (Enhanced Viewing Experience) theaters provide the ultimate cinematic environment through massive wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling screens, paired with state-of-the-art projection technology and immersive moving audio. Hutto’s location will be just the sixth EVO Entertainment location equipped with EVX technology. 

Including the IMAX and EVX screens, the Hutto location will feature eight total movie screens, each with in-theater dining and all-recliner seating. The 53,000-square-foot facility will also house 12 bowling lanes, 7,200 square feet of gaming, attractions and virtual reality, a bar-lounge area, a patio and a private event space.  

As part of the exciting announcement, EVO Entertainment released new renderings for their Hutto location. The company is even working with a local artist on a mural that will be prominently featured near the entrance to the complex. Hint: You might have seen this artwork at the City of Hutto’s booth at the 4th of July Celebration!

Located south of the Hutto YMCA off of US Highway 79 near SH 130, EVO Entertainment Hutto is expected to open in Summer 2024. Stay tuned for more information about a groundbreaking in October for this exciting new destination entertainment facility coming soon to Hutto!
