Get your game on, Hutto! Academy Sports + Outdoors is set to host the grand opening of its brand new Hutto location in mid-November this year. Now under construction, the Hutto location of the nationwide sporting goods retailer is part of Townwest Commons. This shopping center is located at 250 Alliance Boulevard, just off US Highway 79 and State Highway 130.
The 50,000-sq.ft. Hutto facility will be Academy’s first-ever “green build,” featuring roof-mounted solar panels that will supplement energy supply for the store during daylight hours.
In anticipation of being able to open before the holidays, Academy is now hiring team leads and team members for the Hutto store. Academy will be the latest anchor at NewQuest Properties’ Townwest Commons, which currently features Lowe’s Home Improvement, Walgreens, and the Hutto YMCA, among other businesses. Earlier this year, EVO Entertainment Group announced it will also build a state-of-the-art movie theater, bowling, and gaming complex within Townwest Commons, to include both IMAX and EVX theater experiences.
