Reliable utilities and infrastructure are important in maintaining efficient business operations. Hutto utilities are reliable and affordable, and the City continuously works to enhance Hutto’s infrastructure to withstand rapid growth. We currently have over $400M in active infrastructure projects to support the rapid growth of our community.

Infrastructure Details

  • Electric service in Hutto is maintained by Oncor Electric, the largest energy delivery company in Texas. Oncor invests billions in state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced technologies to create a safer, smarter, more reliable power grid. 

  • Water in the City of Hutto is sourced from the Heart of Texas well field, a groundwater source owned by the City. Additional sources are purchased from Manville Water Supply Corporation (groundwater) and the City of Taylor (surface water.)

    The City of Hutto owns and operates 10 lift stations that pump wastewater to one of two City-owned treatment plants, which are operated by the Brazos River Authority.

  • Atmos Energy, the country’s largest natural gas-only distributor, provides commercial and residential natural gas service. It invests more than $1 billion a year in system upgrades and is committed to being the safest natural gas provider in the nation.

  • High-speed internet, with speeds up to 1 GBPS, is readily available in Hutto. Connections include fiber, cable, DSL, and satellite.

    Telephone services include internet phone services, traditional landline service, and VoIP.
