Our Historic Downtown provides a one-of-a-kind shopping and dining experience with its unique 19th Century architecture and array of locally owned shops. Just west of the historic downtown is the Hutto Co-Op District, a dynamic 25-acre mixed-use property with emerging retail, restaurants, entertainment, and high-density residential development. We pride ourselves in preserving our Hutto history and charm while progressing forward in growth and opportunities.
Hippo History

Education
Hutto Independent School District offers quality education to more than 10,000 students across 14 campuses, with enrollment growing by more than 400 additional students each year. This innovative school district provides numerous educational opportunities, including Early College and a Career and Technical education program. HISD is award-winning in the art, robotics, band, music, and athletics programs and is nationally recognized for their Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) program.

The East Williamson County Higher Education Center is an innovative multi-institutional teaching center with a distinct blend of academic, technical, and workforce training located on 57 acres adjacent to SH-130.
